We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Technical Project Manager to lead and oversee the design, planning, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring over 12 years of industry experience, a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and a deep understanding of design principles, team leadership, and project management. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams in the design, development, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including public agencies, contractors, and consultants, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews to ensure designs meet client and regulatory expectations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to enhance project outcomes.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and use.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, client presentations, and relationship management.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of professional experience in water and wastewater engineering, with a focus on design and project management.
- A CA Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Extensive knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes, pipeline systems, pumping stations, and related infrastructure design.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience guiding teams and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools and technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or related applications).
- Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal water and environmental regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline (Master’s degree is a plus).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with sustainable and innovative design practices.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and methods for water/wastewater treatment (e.g., PFAS removal, advanced filtration).
- Business development or client relationship management experience.
